The men behind Rotterdamse Bouwbedrijf
Alexej grew up with tools in his hands. His father has lived in the Netherlands since the Soviet era and worked for himself in construction all those years. From an early age Alexej was on the building site, learned the trade in practice and saw at first hand what craftsmanship and keeping your word mean to people.
That is exactly what Rotterdamse Bouwbedrijf is built on: honest work, proper agreements and pride in what you deliver. Father and son still stand behind it together.
Built up steadily, from two men to a full team
About nine years ago Alexej set up his first construction company together with his father. They started small, with one or two craftsmen, and simply did good work. Happy clients spread the word, and so it grew year after year.
Four years ago that continued under the name Rotterdamse Bouwbedrijf. From their own network they built up a dedicated team of specialists: carpenters, tilers, plasterers, plumbers and electricians. Today 20 to 30 craftsmen work with us, all people we know and can rely on.
What we like doing most: delivering apartments and homes turn-key. From the teardown to the last brushstroke of paint, we arrange everything, so that at the end you simply turn the key and you are done.
Born and bred in Rotterdam, at home on both sides
Alexej is a born-and-bred Rotterdammer. He grew up here, knows the city and its people, and understands better than anyone how important it is that you feel heard. For him a renovation is not only about bricks and neat work, but just as much about clear communication and trust. You always know where you stand, and that starts with an honest conversation.
Precisely because he was born here and also knows the world of the Eastern European tradesmen from home, Alexej can switch effortlessly between the two. He translates the wishes of the Dutch client to the building site while keeping his crew of top Eastern European craftsmen sharp on agreements and finishing. That bridging role, someone who truly understands both sides, is exactly why it runs so well: craftsmanship of the highest level, combined with the clarity and reliability you expect here.
